Are you ready for the IRS's new W-4 form that's being released for 2020? The tax reform act that was passed in 2018 mandated simplifying our taxes and the IRS in true government fashion is interpreting that as making them more complex. The first revision of the form was so complex it was basically doing our taxes twice a year instead of once. The negative feedback was so intense that even government employees figured out what the word simple really means though so they got it better the second time around. The proposed new W-4 form is still complicated and it still has information on it that I'm not going to fill out honestly because it's none of my employer's business, but it's better. I'm just going to have to put $100 per paycheck into savings to pay my taxes from now on because I'm going to owe taxes every year now.
